Green tea helps against AIDS
A substance that occurs in green tea may help to reduce the risk
to get infected by HIV during sex.
The scientists from the Heidelberg University in Germany said this last Tuesday
in a U.S. publication. The substance in the green tea can be used in vaginal
creams. Scientists see it a possibility to reduce the risk of HIV infection
in Third World countries. It would be a simple and inexpensive way to reduce
the infections.

In green tea is a substance with the name epigallocatechine-3-gallaat.
This substance can break a protein in the sperm. making it the AIDS virus more
difficult to penetrate
and infect a human cell
Previously been found that green tea protects against heart disease. Because
it contains many flavonols. Flavonols lower blood pressure and reduce the risk
of cardiovascular diseases. The same flavonolen are also found in red wine,
cocoa, tomatoes and grapefruits, which also have been associated with improvements
in the bloodcirculation.
